East Flatbush Project – Tried by 12 (JChan Crawhsay Remix)

I’ve tried remixing this track before, but scratched it – couldn’t get the tempo right.

The koto loop in the original version (featuring samples from Odetta’s “Sakura” and Al Green’s “I’m Glad You’re Mine”) sounds deceptively simple, but is far from it.

I flipped this version with a piano loop from Cymande’s “Crawshay” and a beat sampled from The Rimshots “Dance Girl” (which I also used in my remix of Tha Alkaholiks’ “Welcome to the Next Level.”
